I hereby resign from my position as administrator for Dysotopia X.Xa. I would like to congratulate and thank BriHurley for his willingness to deal with all things Dyso old. He will now be the key player in ALL decisions involving the currently live/test versions of the MOD.

I will be devoting all of my gaming time to developing the new Rebirth MOD. I have decided that due to the complexity of this project, we will only be allowing a limited closed alpha testing of this MOD. I will not be taking applications for these positions, they will be appointed to people whom I know I can trust to give me valid feedback and truthful results.

Thanks again to Bri for all his efforts to keep this project rolling.

but still a good plan imho

though i hope that this won't drive the two projects too far away from eachother. i'd hate to have to choose between a bri and gesh version.

I don't know what everyone is getting worked up over ... I kinda figured this would happen sooner or later. The Rebirth is a big effort deal and kinda hard for Gesh to be working on that while still swatting flies on a project he kinda wants to do away with in time. Players should be happy ... sorta gives them the best of both worlds ... Gesh working on a new better world and Bri can still keep the current one which we'll still be playing for a while a bit fresh and updated with some new twists now and then. Where's the problem in that?

I almost had a heart attack when I read this topic's title...
But yes, I do think this is for the best... Gesh needs all the time he can get to dedicate himself to Rebirth... we should be glad he took this decision.

I am only sad about the CLOSED alpha testing

Does this mean that we will only see Rebirth when it goes beta? Cause that's going to take a lllllooooonnnnnggggg time

HAH! Yes, I must admit, my heart skipped a beat and I started to think "Dammit, why does he have to leave THIS time???"

Glad to hear you'll be focusing in on Rebirth full-time, Gesh. Hopefully that will help it come to fruition much sooner, and help the new systems be smooth and revolutionary! And with an even more limited closed Alpha, yes I'll bet you'll get better results from the testers. I'll be the first to say here that I hope I'm one of the 'chosen' (although I'll be surprised if I am).

So w00t! Full steam ahead for Rebirth! Bri, if you want/need any help with what we have currently, just let me know, too! I'd love to DM events! Need a resume?

er... didnt u say that rebirth would be out after like 40 months? thats almost 4 years, can we play the current version for that long? unless bri is gonna update it but seriously if its never gonna be updated again i might just stop and wait for rebirth and play other games in the meantime

I dont care about an update, some new weapons would be nice though, maybe some new armor...........

I find my self wishing I had multied, with Fighter since the best B sword is fighter class resticted

heheh look it is a fighter I just found out we can do that

seriously, new weapons are in order, but I guess that would be considered an update
