[Foozbane]

The first official version of the Unofficial Dyso Portrait Pack has been released!

This self-installing package (48.6MB) will add 260 new portraits to your character selection screen. Hopefully, if many Dyso players download the pack, everybody will be able to use the same common pool of portraits and avoid the "white box" missing portrait in game.

The pack is made up of the best portraits culled from those available on nwvault.com. An effort was made to keep only the highest quality pics, and to choose only those which matched the style of existing portraits and fit the Dyso theme.

Sources of portraits include: NWN (some NPCs/monsters), Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape:Torment, Icewind Dale, artists from nwvault.com, and others.


New submissions are welcome! Please send a PM to Kindo if you would like your portrait to be included in a future update. Note that we will only select those which meet a minimum level of quality and appropriateness for the game.

Note: Anime portraits were intentionally left out. We felt that the anime style was not suitable for the RP environment of Dysotopia. If you would like to download some anime or other portraits not included in this pack, try this thread, or check out nwvault's portraits archive.


Thanks go to Kindo for doing most of the work gathering and selecting portraits; GorbGuy for hosting the pack on his server; and several players who contributed their own portrait to the pack.

If you already have installed some version of this portrait pack, I recommend you re-download and install this pack. Earlier versions may be incomplete or corrupted.
