Being Neutral am I able to cast protection from both Evil and Good?

Will they stack, or will it only apply the last spell that I cast? Doesn't seem to be bad roleplay since I am nuetral, but let me know *hint Kindo*

But you should still blow that comment out your ass, Red, because you didn't even bother to ask him why he's Neutral, nor did you answer his question.

I believe they stack, however, I cannot say for sure (since there's no indication ever on what your "Current AC Bonus vs. Good" is, unfortunately).

Oh, yeah, that's right. Especially not that one time you killed my C 5 times with stacking, huh???

Anyway, I doubt they'll stack, since it's only against one alignment, meaning you won't get it against one creature, since you can't be evil-good. ut I'm not sure, better ask Jon..

Why wouldn't they stack? They're two totally separate spells! Like stacking Elemental Resistance and Elemental Protection.

But protection from evil only gives an AC bonus against evil, and protection from good only against good, so you will never be in a stacking situation, since you will never be using them both in the same roll. See, no stacking!!!

protection from aligment will not stack, sinc it's deflection AC and that never stacks but it should work against both good and evil if you cast it both.
then again the damage part of aura against aligment (level 8 cleric spell) does, but that's as much of an exploit as it is to stack elemental shield and can punished .

Interesting on the Aura Against Alignment.....I just made a Celric on Arkania...I'll have to 'member that.

But Shadowcore - I'm sorry, I meant that they will both be *active* at the same time, not that they will "stack" the AC bonus. I mean, of course they won't stack, because as you said, a critter cannot be both Good and Evil. So if you cast both of these spells on yourself, then fought an Evil critter, you'd have a +2, then if you fought a good critter, you'd have a +2, but never a +4. What I meant was, one won't cancel out the other, that you can be protected from both Good AND Evil at the same time.

it doesn't...i've tried and,yes the msg about the ac not stacking does occur,but if you do agsinst both and have not immune to mindspells on eq and use both it will work for the first align sepll you use,but not the second

Protection from evil and protection from good stack as in:
Your immune to mind spells from evil and from good.
Thats for as far as I know.
Oh and btw stacking owns, I killed Redstorms kickass demonking by stacking a few hacked elemental shields

protection from anything doesn't work, the mind immune or anything... the ac doesnt work, the bonus' isn't given... the only thing i know that works is aura of protection

as for protection spells, dont even waste a spell slot on them its messed up as is, you can be neutral and stack pfg and pfe and watch closely on your character..

pfe grants little red dots swirling around your head, pfg grants little white dots, both of them dont do jack shit.

except nice graphic lag.

yea and stacking an extended elem shield after the round its supposed to wear off and casting another and having 2 stacked ontop of each other is nothing new.

I am very sorry people, I really am, I gotta say this, while it is bugged, I have played some other servers with spell fixes, and it DOES work.

Anyway, sorry to have to mention this, but it needed to be said, I discovered someone that had done it on another server just yesterday.

I was so happy when a cleric in my party casted protection from evil on my level 3 lawful good fighter and I ran to kill a mummy with a aura of fear around him, and when i rolled a 1+0=1 versus dc 14 and I got the message "Immune to mind affecting spells" I was so over joyed, it was wonderful, clearly evil creatures THWARTED by a simple level 1 spell!!!

OMFG!!! it was great

i could image some level 20 evil sorc (CE) casting charm or dominate person on a level 1 fighter, with his 28 dc save the fighter doesnt stand a chance, but the cleric casted protection from evil on him! so the fighter isn't effected by the mind spell!

thats excellent, that would even make it worth taking on any magic user then...

so anyways...
