| apparently there were once these floating cities that tumbled from the sky. There is a big desert involved,i imagine the crashed cities might be found there. Other than that i dunno anything about the story. Then again I never bothered to play the single player game in neverwinternight in the first place so I can't really make comparrison. NWN single player already bored me before i finished training... |

I played the Demo, which was only the training, like 10 times. I loved the game and still love it now. I just got bored with the single player at the 3erd area. Once me and my brother killed that dragon in the snow globe... the effortless orcs just wernt fun anymore.
Anyway, dyso needs a desert. Norrec has been everywhere but to a desert. Yeah... and some kind of nomadic village that changes areas every reset/crash. Lets not forget the dwarf only moutain city . Just get the expansion, Period. _________________ Courage is not the absence of fear, but the presence of fear yet the will to go on. |

After looking at all those new spells, woooo, high level mages will own. Greater missile storm -- up to 20 missiles doing 3d6 each? thats 20 x 18 = 360 max damage? Um, yeah. Not to mention the Bigby spells that hold and dont have a save? Gimme a break... _________________ "Here comes Halfling death!" |

Well just an update on SoU I will be purchasing it tomorrow. Then we will get it up and running on a test box to see if there is any major glitches that need worked out. We will wait till everyone has SoU available before we go live and require SoU. _________________ Stupid is as stupid does....

Heh, if SoU is going to use that 1.30 patch, which i believe it is, then it has a few annoying glitches now, at least the beta
I like the way divine power stacks giving me up to 4/4/4 attacks per round
EDIT: When will the main server use the 1.30 patch?
Cause, if the main server gets the 1.30 patch, then it wont require SoU but people with SoU can still go there with their assassins and arcane archers with new spells and skills and feats, thats cool! |

OK...even though I think the new monsters look heavily cool, and 30 new feats sounds interesting, I have to put together my top-wish list. And I wonder if anyone knows anything bout the stuff I'm saying. If BioWare has commented on em or something.
There are kinda few playermodels in NWN. Will there be more added? And more importantly, will they look cool? The current ones are pretty lame in my opinion. And the "lower races" have very few headmodels to choose from. (And let's not forget about the retarded "armor replaces body, helmet replaces head"-shit.) While humans and elves have like a hundred. I would definitely like to see more customisation abilities. That includes voicesets; the current voicesets are pretty much the worst voicesets I've ever heard in a D&D game. I always like to compare it with the masterpieces Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate, where the voicesets/soundsets are outstanding.
Well maybe not much to hope for there...but could they atleast make it easier to create your custom voicesets?! FFS, in NWN it's a long and tedious work that requires "hacking" some corefiles...which in turn leads to various errors with the other voicesets PLUS the other players must have the voiceset installed on their own game in order to hear it and that totally pisses me off. If you look back on the IWD and BG games, you could very easily just flip and flap the voicesets from one game to another (and the voicesets for those games totally kick ass). No hacking required, no collisions with others sounds, and the receiptant didn't have to do some shit to his/her own game in order to hear em. I mean, if we are going to be stuck with sucky voicesets, atleast gives us the possibility to create our own without too many complications.
The original portraits suck big donkey ball too. But luckily, those are easy to create customs of. I love to use the BG or IWD ones, they totally rock. One thing though, just like the voicesets, the other guy needs to have em installed in their own folder. Otherwise they will just see a white picture, or the default player one. Not good.
What else...hmm well, the graphics in NWN are quite crappy, but I guess there's no talk about any big improvement there. There will be some new music in SoU (hopefully good). The old one will still remain as sucky as ever though, but I guess I can manage. |

I read it at the bioforum, by biowarians.
Modules made without SoU is not flagged as SoU with the 1.30 patch, but SoU clients can still play on them and use the SoU only features |
