Will limiting the numbers on the server to say, about 25 help the lag...if it does i think it would be a good idea, because its starting to tire losing 4k xp with my character, because of lagging or deaths, or restarts.

the servers or server is at a temp home while the hosts company needs the entire bandwidth for themselfs
or this is how gorb explained to to me before it actually happened
once the company that hosts the server is able to host again Dyso should return to normal with the lag and having two servers up |

| Well, Truia is almost right. For now, Dyso is at a very good friend of mines house in Kentwood Michigan. He's hosting it temporarily until I can get my budget in order to get a T1 installed at my home. Once this happens, then both (and more!!) servers will return. I plan on starting a side buisiness doing some webserver and co-location server hosting. I'm seriously hoping that by October or so, I will have enough of my finances in order to do such and get this thing (my buisiness) rolling. |

hell, he won't even change the inventory deletion in the pools of destruction to an on open script slot...
all those heartbeats... ::shudder::
think... of the heartbeats running, these and more are firing:
ALL pools of destruction
ALL players (hunger, fatigue, etc.)
ALL Perfect Unities, Holy Avengers, etc. (weapons out)
ALL Tidy Badgers
ALL rift gates (soulseeker)
now, this totals to more that 150 objects, assuming there is a badger in every area at least... and about 30 players on... this is why it gets so laggy so quickly...
 ALL I ASK IS THE POOLS OF DESTRUCTION, SOULSEEKER, AND AT LEAST THE PLAYER SCRIPTS CHANGED BRI!!!

I think it's mostly because it IS in one script, but it's checking so MANY things that it is screwing up... we need to change the pools of destruction (in EVERY area, just put the item removal script in the on open), and do some other things that may cut down on heartbeat scripts

Can't you just give every player an object that allows you to destroy items yourself? I'm sure I've seen it on another server... It would reduce lag, pools of destruction wouldn't be seen in every area etc.

Just a suggestion, but you know on the bodies of lets say skellies, there is rubbish items along with stones, most of u just pick the stones up, cant you just make a script to get rid of the bodies stright away once theyve been searched first time...this would lessen the need for Tidy badgers...but its only a suggestion..

I was thinking that while posting it, but then i realised that surely 30 more hearts bearts would be less than the amount of badgers. There atleast 5-6 in the crypta...or maybe thats the same one...they look so alike : )
