Simply I see no need for all the invective poor display of creativity in posts foul language thats creeping into posts. I suggest that the MODs immediately delete such posts.Unless they are quoting others stupidity.
While on it lets also automatically delete any IC post that has a ooc tag in it thats most annoying too.

I think that's a bit... extreme...
me saying 'damn it' shouldn't be a problem, however if that seems to be a large chunk of my post, go ahead an delete it. IC posts with ooc dags, sometimes it's necissary to clear up any confusion or hostile intentions, and do so in a manner that's acceptable to nearly everyone else...
such as me killing Bak 3 times wasn't due to me disliking him, heck, we're good buddies, him and I. there was just a 100,000 gold conract on 3 skulls, with the killer prominantly displayed on them. I was simply getting rich, no hostile intent, my bad if anything was taken, and you RP'd it well...
Granted, this may be able to take place in tells, but the "wtf did you kill me for 3 times you jackass" position won't be given up until tempers have cooled a bit. they'll most likely rant about this in IC or CRF, and you may need an ooc remark to say "Hey, I have no problem with him, I was just getting my moneez" while having my character suitably punished.

Excessive language, heavy swearing, and what not is only allowed in the Complaints, Rants and Flames forum (and certain private forums of course  ).
We already have rules against heavy swearing and foul language in all other forums. It's free game in here though.

Hey, I actually agree with Uin here...:S
What's the big deal with swearing??? I don't get it, why are people insulted by someone saying Fuck or something similar. It's just weird, if I want to say fuck, let me. It's just a word, it's not a crime or anything like that.
Ofcourse, if things get excessive something should be done about it(eg. Jon), but a little swearing should be possible at it's time.
I mean, I hate that attitude of "No, don't swear, don't say some words!!!! I don't like those words." I you don't like those words, you shouldn't go to an internet forum in the first place, and you could also just ignore the swearing...

But I agree that the tone should not become so harsh that it is threatening. And if conflict surges with personal insults, etc., in another section of the forums, it should be taken to PM ASAP.

Hey, Jon I had to pick some example, and as far as I can remember, you were VERY abusive with words(I seem to remember posts with nothing but Fuck them, screw them and other such words in it....).
By the way, I still find making cussing or anything similar illegal a bit narrowminded, what good will it do YOU or OTHERS to get it banned?

I've sworn once on the server without it being ooc: or (( and I apologized afterward.
I don't agree with banning them because outbursts are common and could well get half the server banned, I do feel however, that jailing or boot each time they do will suffice.
Also, I saw on another server some sort of monster that when you swore or use abbreviations such as "rofl, omg, tbh" etc. It would slay you, I don't think it should slay you, perhaps knock half of your life off you or make you blind for a few minutes, something to that effect.
Only problem is, it means more coding and effort from the DM's and as I realize it, they're busy enough with Rebirth at the moment, so, I'll kindly shut my trap and go now

Having a censor in the server isn't a bad thing at all. If you have ever played firearms with me on a server without a censor, 12 year old kids pop in and use their high pitched voices on VOICECOM and swear at everyone and then swear at the other team and call them hackers.

Unban swearing? You have a gaint horde of personal insults being thrown left and right with no escape in sight. Even worse than there is now. Trust me on this one, if you trust me on anything to preserve this thing, trust me on this.
Of course, the occasional "damn, hell, sucks" and even an occasional "fuck" is alright from time to time, but kill the censor, and all other insults, personal remarks, and rude behavior will be entailed.
Now go and play the damn game.

Profanity doesn't bother me, personally. I try not to take people too seriously because I know I can come across as harsh sometimes, especially in text-only communication. But when it's obvious fury... it should be taken out of game and out of character in PMs.
