Ok, I would just like to say my part on everyones views on Dyso's publicity.

I don't think the mod is dying at all, I think some people have just decided not to play until the servers are back up and in full swing.

I have seen around 20-30 new players join Dyso and stay, have now become regulars.

In my view, once both servers are running efficiently again, Dyso will be the same if not better than it was before. Dyso is a very original and well thought out mod and original mods never die!

So stop dissing the mod and being pessimistic, let the DM's do their work and when the servers are back up, watch Dyso rise once more!!!

My point is different in it's own way, I just want people to stop stating Dyso is dead or dying. I want people to have faith in their abilities and realize that Dyso is just in a bad patch.

I might also point out that Glith has been redoing bits and pieces on his test server and from what I have seen thus far he is making good progress in cleaning out some of the unused crap and well as addressing issues which most of us believe have a lot to do with instability and lag. The hope is that this work can be applied with Bri's efforts to get the thing back to where it used to be stability wise.

Dyso isnt dying, dyso is trying to get back where it once was.
Two servers with a playerlimit of 60 and 40 or something...
Both at least filled with the half of the max.
Players running around madly, trying to make money and get levels
Players running around shouting they are organising a tournament.
Players not whining if they get killed because they don't care about loosing some xp.
Players not complaining about someone else's rp, if you don't like it just kill the other

Wow i think you summend it up. I mean i didn't want to come back because i knew that it wouldn't be the same. Coming back to a server who is trying to keep you low level and money less is pointless. I mean grok was power leveling for 2 months and didn't hit 20. I mean back in the day i went by myself and took me a day and a half just goofing off most the time to level and i didnt have any help are any help from my own chars cash anything. Jon i think said he leveled his cleric in 5 minutes (back in the day) i dont know if that was true but 2 months and not 20 from Grok is sad. Not saying ur sad grok hehe.

The server is not trying to keep you pennyless and low level Kental. Perhaps if you actually RPed a while, and stayed, you'd know that I rarely see Grok powerlevel - he didn't expect to get level 20. Its easy to get to level 16 in 3 days or so, but if you just go with the DM events for XP, plus all the monsters you kill looking for gold and such, you'll get to level 20 eventually. No, you probably wont get to level 20 right away if you tried- it almost crawls to a halt... but there is no need to be level 20 on this server anyway. Most of the GOSU equipment is level 16-17 requirement... but then again, I know this, because I stick to a server and RP.
