I've been hanging out in Har-rhun recently...
So - yeah - we're all still working on it. Conrad is pushing through a new version of Har-rhun pretty much daily... Haven't been in Tuskandale, so I can speak to that yet.
I'm going through his code and areas to add a few things of my own, and to come up with some more quests.
Progress - gotta love it...

I'll tell you what the frustrating part of all of this is, at least to me ...
Everyone's working on their own module ... hence, there are not too many of the "decent" people around to actually PLAY these damn modules.
Ah well, the design part of it is amusing enough for me anyhow ... but nonetheless it's one of those observations I had to make. _________________ Envision something suitably witty here. |

You don't need much in the way of power PC to run a MOD. Do you have any kind of spare PC? If so, you can set that in your DMZ and use that to host the MOD. Otherwise you'll have to open up some ports on your router for gamespy, but I forgot all of them. I bet Gorby, Balk, or someone else remembers. _________________ Co-Creator of DragonsFall Mod |

Yeah honestly so long as you have a decent RAM load, you can get a lot out of a medium powered machine ... the main thing is having the right ports open so the module can properly communicate to the clients. I wanna say it's like port 51xxx or something like that ... I had it written down somewhere ... but since I am not hosting a game, I have no idea what I did with the scratch paper it was down on. If you are connected to a module and you have your firewall running full tilt, you can usually looking at the blocks/alerts and it'll tell you which port because you'll see that same port coming up over and over from the IP of the gameserver. _________________ Envision something suitably witty here. |

| 5120 to 5300 inclusive, 27900, 28900, 6500. All UDP. Too big of a mod description breaks gamespy's connection as well. |
